Message from the Office of Communications

Welcome to the Office of Communications. You are on the website of one of America’s leading institutions of higher learning and doctoral research. FAMU is distinct in this way and many others. One of the functions of our office is to tell the good news and provide information about the University to the people who really matter to our brand — students, faculty, staff, alumni, prospective students, parents, community members, business partners, supporters, and more.

We work daily, through integrated marketing approaches, to assist the University in carrying out its vision, mission, and goals, while informing internal and external groups through targeted messaging. We have five units that work together as a team to promote and market the University effectively — media relations, publications, marketing, photography/design, and special events.
