The Office of the Dean of Students is committed to our students and we believe that our exemplary services support the academic mission of FAMU and its commitment to “Excellence with Caring”. Our office offers a variety of student support services along with opportunities in leadership, volunteerism, student engagement, fraternity and sorority life, student government and career development.  

The Office of the Dean of Students includes the following departments and specialized areas: Assessment and Care Team (ACT), Campus Recreation, Career and Professional Development Center, Center for Disability Access and Resources (CeDAR), Counseling Services, Diversity and Inclusion, Dorothy Henderson Scholars Program for Foster Care and Homeless Students, Student Health Services,  Efferson Student Union and Activities, FAMU Educational Research Center for Child Development  (FAMU-ERCCD), Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution, Military and Veteran Affairs, TRIO Programs, and University Housing.
